Abstract: Stati Uniti intorno al 1880, Jesse James è un personaggio conosciuto da tutti, famoso bandito ricercato in 10 stati ma anche eroe amato dal popolo come un novello Robin Hood. Mentre Robert Ford nessuno sa chi sia, è un giovane di 19 anni disposto a tutto pur di diventare famoso, così che riesce a entrare nella banda di Jesse. Presto però l'amicizia cambia in rivalità e la fame di successo diventa una ossessione.
