Abstract: "Il farmaco adatto": il ladruncolo Charlie Pugh ammazza in una sparatoria un poliziotto. Sfortunatamente un testimone incolpa Charlie che rimane ferito. Il dottor Vogel gli prescrive un antidolorifico. "Sibilla": nel diario del marito Sibilla scopre i suoi piani per eliminarla. Sono solo fantasie che perņ allarmano la donna che quindi avverte il suo avvocato dei propositi del marito. "L'eroe": un incontro a bordo di una nave. Un uomo che pensa di riconoscere in un tizio la persona un tempo derubata e lasciata senza vita.
