Abstract: Al confine tra Armenia e Azerbaijan vivono i reduci e i tanti rifugiati dai conflitti che hanno insanguinato la regione. Il tempo sembra non passare mai fino a quando un giorno alcuni di loro trovano un bufalo e lo portano nella fattoria in cui vivono. Qualcosa di nuovo allora accade... in un linguaggio rigorosissimo Khachatryan ricostruisce una storia da lui stesso vissuta anni prima, raccontando al tempo stesso l’impronta della guerra nelle coscienze e nei corpi delle persone.
On the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan live the survivors and many refugees of the conflict that ravaged the region. For them, time stands still, until one day a group finds a buffalo and brings it back to the farm where they live. Something new has happened… in a rigorous style, Khachatryan recreates a story he himself lived a few years ago, at the same time showing how the war left its imprint on the minds and bodies of these people.
