Abstract: Il documentario "Wandering Through the Lednice-Valtice area" presenta il piů esteso complesso di paesaggio modellato in Europa, e probabilmente in tutto il mondo. Riguarda l'area di Lednice - Valtice, che si estende per circa 200 km2 nella punta piů meridionale della Moravia, in Repubblica Ceca. L'area si č formata durante il dominio della famiglia Liechtenstein, un'antica casata aristocratica europea, ed č composta da imponenti castelli con giardini decorativi e da edifici piů piccoli, architettonicamente di valore, sensibilmente inseriti nell'ambiente naturale con l'aggiunta di boschetti piantati e stagni artificiali. Nel dicembre 1996, l'area di Lednice - Valtice č stata inserita nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. La porta della zona č Břeclav. La cittŕ e i suoi dintorni hanno condizioni ideali per il ciclismo e il turismo, č intrecciata da sentieri naturali. I visitatori possono percorrere l'area pianeggiante a piedi o in bicicletta, o anche con gli stivali sul fiume Dyje. Il film vuole dare sostegno alla zona di Lednice-Valtice e a tutta la regione e ringraziare gli antenati che per secoli hanno costruito questo bellissimo angolo della Moravia del Sud.
The documentary “Wandering through the Lednice-Valtice area“ presents the most extensive complex of a shaped landscape in Europe, and probably in the whole world. It concerns the Lednice – Valtice area that extends over about 200 km2 in the most southern tip of Moravia, in Czech Republic. The area was formed during the rule of the Liechtenstein family, an ancient European aristocratic house, and consists of imposing castles with decorative gardens and smaller, architectonically valuable buildings sensitively placed in the natural surroundings with added planted groves and artificial ponds. In December 1996, the Lednice – Valtice area was entered into the UNESCO World Heritage List. The gate to the area is Břeclav. The city and its surroundings have ideal conditions for cycling and tourism, it is interwoven by nature trails. The visitors can travel through the flat area by foot or bike, or even by boot on the Dyje river. The film is meant to give support to the Lednice-Valtice area and the whole region and to express our thanks to the ancestry that was for centuries building up this beautiful corner in South Moravia.
