Abstract: Sono minorenni, hanno commesso dei reati e sono finiti in carcere. Ma come vivono i ragazzi di sedici/diciassette anni la detenzione preventiva? "In oltre"è un progetto pilota destinato al recupero di minori in difficoltà nato per iniziativa del mediatore Mauro Broggini (giudice di pace e insegnante alla SPAI di Locarno), che, insieme ad un gruppo di docenti, ha proposto all'autorità carceraria una serie di iniziative per stabilire un contatto con i giovani detenuti. Il regista Danilo Catti ha seguito questi incontri, si è intrattenuto a lungo con gli insegnanti e con i ragazzi, con il giudice dei minorenni e con le autorità: il risultato è un documentario intenso, che dà voce a chi normalmente non ce l'ha. I ragazzi confidano le loro paure, i loro sogni, gli errori commessi, il desiderio di libertà e di un futuro diverso, e mostrano come trascorrono le giornate fra le mura del carcere giudiziario.
They're juveniles, they've committed crimes, and they're in jail. But how do sixteen or seventeen year olds experience preventive detention? "In Oltre" is a pilot project designed to rehabilitate minors in difficulty. It was born on the initiative of the mediator Mauro Broggini (justice of the peace and teacher at SPAI in Locarno) who, together with a group of teachers, proposed to the prison authority a series of initiatives to establish contact with the incarcerated youth. The director Danilo Catti followed these meetings, talking at length with the teachers and the young people, with the juvenile judge and with the authorities: the result is an intense documentary, which for the first time gives a voice to those who normally do not have one. The boys will talk about their fears, their dreams, the mistakes they have made, their desire for freedom and a different future, and will show how they spend their days within the walls of the judicial prison.
