Abstract: Per dieci anni, negli anni '80, ho danzato per professione. Poi ho smesso completamente, apparentemente senza alcun rimpianto. Anni dopo, quando mio figlio ha mosso i primi passi, sono sorte delle domande: da dove viene la danza, per me, per tutti noi? Quali tracce lascia dentro di sé? Cosa ci fa ballare? Spiderman, l'antica danza popolare francese, mio padre, Fred Astaire, gli orologi Swatch e un paio di polpacci paffuti forniscono alcuni indizi. In modo commovente e leggermente ironico, "Feet on the Ground" alla fine abbraccia la danza come un gesto che trascende i confini dello spazio e del tempo.
For ten years in the 1980s, I danced professionally. Then I stopped completely, without any apparent longing. But years later, as my young son took his first steps, questions arose, Where does dance come from, for me, for all of us? What traces does it leave inside ? What makes us dance? Spiderman, ancient French folk dance, my father, Fred Astaire, Swatch watches and a pair of chubby calves provide some clues. In a moving and slightly burlesque way, "Feet on the Ground" eventually embraces dance as a gesture that transcends the boundaries of space and time.
