Abstract: La storia mai raccontata di uno dei punti caldi del mondo, dove migliaia di lavoratori sono trattati come bestie da soma in una lotta per la sopravvivenza. Il film è ambientato a Melilla, un piccolo pezzo d'Europa nel continente africano, dove le folle si riuniscono per combattere per gli scarti di un business in piena espansione: il contrabbando consenziente. La storia è raccontata da Mustafa, Fatima, Said e Hassan, tutti corrieri umani sempre a un metro da dove vorrebbero essere e senza sapere cosa sarà di loro domani. Mentre aspettano che arrivi un'opportunità, l'economia globale del mondo avanza inesorabile, ignari delle conseguenze sulle loro vite.
The untold story of one of the world's hotspots, where thousands of workers are treated like beasts of burden in a struggle for survival. The film is set in Melilla, a small piece of Europe in the African continent, where crowds gather to fight for the scraps of a booming business: consensual smuggling. The story is told by Mustafa, Fatima, Said and Hassan, all human couriers always a metre away from where they want to be and without knowing what tomorrow will bring for them. While they wait for an opportunity to arrive, the world's global economy moves inexorably forward, unaware of the consequences on their lives.
