Abstract: A Petersburg, Alaska, gli abitanti celebrano la loro eredità norvegese con grande entusiasmo. Attraverso l'uso di vecchi simboli e manufatti, e con l'annuale Little Norway Festival, si rinsalda il legame con la patria d'origine. In Petersburg, Alaska, the inhabitants celebrate their Norwegian heritage with great enthusiasm. Through the use of old symbols and artefacts, and with the annual Little Norway Festival, they strengthen their connection to their homeland. For some, Norwegian identity has a central value, even though the bloodline is dying out and the first-hand connection to Norway is very limited. The struggle for belonging and people's need to feel special are key topics in this film, as we follow Vikings and Valkyries, Leikarring dancers, Rosemalers and other inhabitants as they prepare for the 50th Little Norway Festival.
