Abstract: E se il re degli animali, il leone, si estinguesse? Cosa succederebbe alla catena alimentare? Gli animali da preda non starebbero pių attenti ai pericoli. Le sue prede naturali prolificherebbero in misura cosė abbondante da produrre un impatto negativo sulla vegetazione, creando uno squilibrio nell'intero ecosistema. L'estinzione del leone avrebbe inoltre un effetto deprimente anche sulle nostre emozioni: si perderebbe un'icona del potere e della leadership.
What if the king of animals, the lion, became extinct? What would happen to the food chain? Prey animals would no longer be alert to danger. Its natural prey would proliferate so abundantly that it would have a negative impact on the vegetation, creating an imbalance in the entire ecosystem. Extinction of the lion would also have a depressing effect on our emotions: an icon of power and leadership would be lost.
