Abstract: Dopo quasi 20 anni dalla caduta della Jugoslavia, due scrittori, un croato e un serbo, condividono la guida di una Yugo, ultimo simbolo del passato comune, in un viaggio che va da un capo all'altro della un tempo nota come "l'autostrada della fratellanza e dell'unità". È un viaggio attraverso il passato, il presente e il futuro: dalla Slovenia alla Macedonia, attraverso la Croazia, la Bosnia e la Serbia. L'obiettivo è quello di guardare al passato comune, scoprire come la storia li abbia separati, chiedere dove il presente li sta portando - e divertirsi un sacco mentre lo fanno.
Almost 20 years after the fall of Yugoslavia, two writers, a Croat and a Serb, share the driving of a Yugo, the last symbol of their shared past, on a journey from one end to the other of the highway once known as the 'highway of brotherhood and unity'. It is a journey through the past, present and future: from Slovenia to Macedonia, through Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia. The aim is to look at their shared past, discover how history has separated them, ask where the present is taking them - and have a lot of fun while doing it.
