Abstract: Il giovane regista Gael Metroz si mette in viaggio da solo, video camera alla mano, sulle orme di Nicolas Bouvier. Scopre che l'Est non è più la terra spensierata degli anni Cinquanta: Iran in crisi, Pakistan scosso dalla violenza tribale, talebani, guerra civile in Sri Lanka. Questo mondo, in cui Bouvier aveva vissuto, sembra essere scomparso. Deluso, il regista lascia la strada principale continua sul piccolo sentiero con i nomadi. Nel creare il proprio percorso, Gael Metroz rivela la sua filosofia di viaggio.
Young filmmaker Gael Metroz sets off alone, camera in hand, in the footsteps of Nicolas Bouvier. He discovers that the East is no longer the carefree land of the 1950s: Iran in crisis, Pakistan shaken by tribal violence, the Taliban, civil war in Sri Lanka. This world, in which Bouvier had lived, seems to have disappeared. Disappointed, the filmmaker leaves the main road and continues on the small path with the nomads. In creating his own path, Gael Metroz reveals his philosophy of travel.
