Abstract: Nel 2003 l'UNESCO ha proclamato il carnevale tradizionale di Binche come patrimonio orale e immateriale dell'umanità. Alla ricerca delle coordinate di questa festa, il film documenta la storia di alcuni dei suoi animatori più fedeli in alcuni bar della città e dei dintorni. Per decenni i bar ospitano i luoghi d'incontro delle diverse società folcloristiche di Binche. Protagonista è l'ex minatore italiano Pepi Campanella che, dopo 20 anni di servizio nelle miniere, ha deciso di rilevare il bar "Local des Marins".
In 2003, UNESCO proclaimed the traditional carnival of Binche as an oral and intangible heritage of humanity. In search of the coordinates of this festival, the film documents the story of some of its most loyal entertainers in a number of bars in and around the town. For decades, the bars have been the meeting places of the various folkloric societies of Binche. The protagonist is former Italian miner Pepi Campanella who, after 20 years of service in the mines, decided to take over the 'Local des Marins' bar.
