Abstract: In Islanda, nel cuore dell'inverno, Reykjavík resta al buio. Proprio prima di Natale, migliaia di candele e luci elettriche illuminano la città. In questa strana e poetica atmosfera, i defunti tessono legami con i loro discendenti. Una giovane donna, Arndis, aspetta il segno che sua nonna le ha promesso prima di morire. Arnar cerca di ritrovare la donna che lo ha amato. Due medium, Skuli e Maggy, li aiutano nella loro ricerca. Questo film mostra come, in Islanda, i morti e i vivi siano legati gli uni agli altri da strani, insondabili legami.
In Iceland, in the heart of winter, Reykjavík remains dark. Just before Christmas, thousands of candles and electric lights illuminate the city. In this strange and poetic atmosphere, the dead weave bonds with their descendants. A young woman, Arndis, waits for the sign her grandmother promised her before she died. Arnar tries to find the woman who loved him. Two mediums, Skuli and Maggy, help them in their search. This film shows how, in Iceland, the dead and the living are linked to each other by strange, unfathomable ties.
